FAQs
1. How long do Helium inflated balloons last?
Foil balloons will remain buoyant for approximately 7-8 days if stored in the right conditions. They stay firm for first 2-3 days and after may need slight re-inflation for firmness. Helium gas is sensitive to temperature changes. In cold air, it can appear deflated. If this occurs, to resolve this issue, place the balloon into a warmer area inside. The balloon will then expand again to full inflation.
Extreme conditions only - In extreme heat, the balloon can expand and burst. Please allow the balloon to float in a normal temperature room.
2. What is Helium and is Helium dangerous?
Helium is the gas used to fill the balloons and make them float. Helium is an inert, lighter-than-air gas. It is non-toxic, non-flammable, odourless and colourless. However, helium is an asphyxiant and should never be inhaled.
WARNING: Foil balloons must never be released as they can conduct electricity if they come into contact with power lines. Foil balloons can also be harmful to wildlife if ingested.
